About Us

IIDA was founded in 1994 as the result of a merger of the Institute of Business Designers (IBD); the International Society of Interior Designers (ISID); and the Council of Federal Interior Designers (CFID). The goal of the merger was to create an international association with a united mission that would represent interior designers worldwide. The PA/NJ/DE Chapter was formed in 1998. We are comprised of three states Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware and five City Centers. City Centers are located in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Pocono Mountain region, South Central PA and New Jersey.

We wish to expand into other areas of Pennsylvania and open an additional City Center in Delaware. If you are interested in starting a City Center in your area, please contact mail@iida-panjde.org

The mission of the IIDA PA/NJ/DE Chapter, is to pursue rigorous and continuous advancement of the profession of interior design underscored by proven excellence and commitment to city center strength and ongoing professional development.
